| Elsie Dresch, a long time resident of Georgia, painter, designer and juror teaches painting in her Atlanta studio. Her art education began at the Fleisher Memorial School of Art in Philadelphia. Among her instructors are Max Gottlieb, Philadelphia; Gina Manelli, Baltimore; Joel Reeves and Dolores Kennedy; Atlanta and workshops with many of the finest contemporary artists in the country. Highly motivated and enthusiastic, she pursues painting as a creative, visual experience. Schooled in varius mediums she often approaches her subject matter from a realistic point of view - then by rearranging, modifying and abstracting from nature it's essence, she makes a personal statement. She is a "Member of Excellence" in both the Atlanta Artist Club and the Southeastern Pastel Society, a "Signature Member" of the Pastel Society of America and is listed in "Art in America". Her work is in many private and corporate collections throughout the United States, Canada and Italy. |
