Captivated by nature and the great outdoors since early childhood, I endeavor to translate that enthusiasm into my contemporary pastel landscapes with a spontaneous, vivid display of line and color. Working rapidly while the internal energy lasts, I attempt to capture the positive images of trees, fields and vast panoramic images that appear within and around me. If I can give even a small piece of what I feel in my landscape to the viewer, that's all I ask.

         Nature brings such force and pleasure to me, especially on bright, sunlit days. The majority of my work is created outdoors in direct sunlight so as to keep my compositions light and airy. I work persistently every day in order to learn more about my medium and stregthen my landscapes.
